The AWIS National Office exists to help its chapters and members. Utilizing a small staff, the National Office has three main positions, operated by three employees and a handful of interns. Here''s a listing of the National Office staff, followed by an explanation of the tasks their position demands.

Executive Director: Janet Bandows Koster

The Executive Director is our chief fundraiser, making sure AWIS receives grants and a steady influx of members. In addition, she acts as a liaison between the National Office and the Executive Board, the Membership Office, and AWIS Educational Foundation.

Program Manager:    Meredith Gibson

Working closely with the Executive Director, the Program Manager plans, organizes, and coordinates the organization''s activities.

Website Administrator: Tracy Compton

The Website Administrator maintains and updates the AWIS website. She tracks website statistics, and troubleshoot office computer problems.

Membership: AWIS Membership Office

Our Membership Office, located in Fairfax, Virginia, is responsible for our membership database. In addition, the membership office handles online registration forms for joining AWIS.
