Baobabconnections is a non-profit internet based media project of Both-ENDS. We encourage youth from across the world to get together on our website and exchange ideas about globalisation and sustainable development.

What are we about?

Baobabconnections is a worldwide dialogue on globalisation: we provide you with a space to have your say. We think it is possible to establish a foundation for a deeper understanding about the various aspects and effects of globalisation if everybody is allowed to take part in the discussion.

In contrast with traditional mass media, print and TV, the internet is not a monologue-medium, so on our website you''re not just a consumer of our information, but a producer of it.

What''s in it for you?

Our website hosts an extensive information database on globalization - and you can access this useful resource whenever you''d like to. We also have chatrooms, forums and you can react instantly to all of our online articles. Beside our quarterly online magazine, twice a year we run online competitions, making learning and interacting even more fun!

If you want to get in contact with Baobabconnections members, you have to become a member yourself first. Also, if you want to share your opinion with us you have to become a member. Just go to the registration page, choose a personal login and password, and start putting together your personal profile.

Where are we based?

Baobabconnections is being coordinated from Johannesburg, South Africa and from Amsterdam, the Netherlands at Both-ENDS. In addition, we have editors and correspondents who work on the site from Burundi, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Bangladesh and Argentina.
