SNCTP adopted various strategies and approaches due to cultures' diversities, dialects and high rate of illiteracy. It formulated its strategic action plan and work plan for 5 years 2003 - 2007 through participatory approach under the light of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the FGM Zero Tolerance common agenda programme 2003 - 2010, which was adopted by the UN in 2003 in New York, and the AU additional protocol on the African women and children, article 5 as well as the ratified Human Rights instruments.
