Umm Almoumineen Association
Activities and Programs

The association has a wide-ranging program of events and activities. Among them are:

1 - In the field of Education & Training :

(1) The Continuous Education Center :
The center runs one of the association’s more vital programs, which aim to provide special circumstances prevent them from continuing their education. The center began its activities in 1983, and by 2002 has produced 358 graduates.

(2) Dar Asma Bint Abi-Bakr Qur’an Center :

The center aims to provide Islamic education for girls and women in the field of memorization, Tajweed, Tafseer as well as Hadith, Sunna, Fikh, Sira and the Arabic Language. The center also offers special classes to non-Arab women, and sipervises nine other Qur’an centers in Ajman.
The center was established in 1993 collaboration with the Dubai Orphan Care Center.

 

(3) The Association also organizes training programs in various fields of Administration, Social Studies and Education. The aim of these programs is the development of a qualified and skills cadre at the Association and other local organizations.

2 - In the field of Culture and Sports : 

(1)               The prize aims to promote scientific research and intellectual activities in culture and other sciences for both nationals and residents of the UAE and other individuals in the GCC. The prize is organized at two levels: Researches and students of high school and college. Since its founding the prize has been fortunate to have the patronage of his Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al-Nu’aimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman.

 

(2)               The celebrations of the annual day began in 1983. organized by the Association and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al-Nu’aimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, the Award bestowed aims to honer individuals who have excelled in science. Culture and social studies.

     On Science Day, the Association honors :

·        Winners of the Rashid Bin Humaid prize of Culture and Science, at the GCC level.

·        Individuals who have excelled in Social Service at the GCC level.

·        School administrations, teachers and students who have graduated with merit in Ajman.

·        Winners of the Umm Al Moumineen Qur’an and Sunnah Competition, at the UAE level.

·        Nationals who have distinguished themselves at the UAE level (a new category since 2000).

 

(3)               Umm Al Moumineen Qur’an and Sunnah Competition aims to promote spiritual awareness among the generations through memorizing the Qur’an, studies of Ibadaat and Islamic research. The competition was first launched in 1982 and accepts two categories: Elementary pupils, and Junior and High school students in the UAE.

 

(4)               Publications :

         In support of research and studies, and with the aim of enriching Arabic Literature, the Association publishes books and scientific and cultural research and studies papers. The Association began the initiative in 1982, and by 2002, 48 publications has been awarded the Rashid Bin Humaid prize. Furthermore, in 2001, Ajman Magazine is a periodical, which addresses Human and scientific studies, published by the Rashid Bin Humaid prize for Culture and Science.

 

(5) Conferences :

      The Association had organized three conferences :

·        “Working Women in the UAE, Reality and Aspirations (17-18.11.1999)”.

·        “UAE Women and free Enterprise” (31.10-1.11.2000)

·        “Addressing the small Family Phenomena in the UAE” (28-30.10.2001)

·        “The Family and Financial Administration” (28-30.10.2002)

 

(6) Al-Rayyan Club :

     Al-Rayyan Girls aims to provide care for Emirate girls in order to nurture balanced personalities, through reinforcing their loyalty to faith, country and the community, as well as the development of volunteer work and constructive pursuits.

The Club began its activities in 1993, and in 2000 the official headquarters were open, which include a swimming pool, gym, library and Café Swan, as well as the various halls and rooms.

 

(7) Al-Swan Café :

Overlooking the association’s swimming pool and Palm Plaza, the first Ladies Café in Ajman Al-Swan was opened in the year 2000. in addition to its conventional services, it can also host parties and celebrations.

 

(8) In the Field of Social Ribaat Al-Mawaddah :

The project aims to provide both sex with suitable partners according to Shari'ah.

 

(9) work for social peace and security :

The project provides legal counseling and religious and social education for the family (spouses and children).

Subjects addressed are psychological health and harmony in the family.

 

3- In the field of Social and Public Relations


- supervising the Multi-purpose halls of the Association

- supervising Ribat Al Mawaddah Project

- organizing field visits to other organizations

- organizing Hajj & Umrah trips

- organizing joint activities with other educational and social institutions

 

4- In the field of Health


- organizing health lectures, Seminars and training courses to health awareness

- organizing field visits to remote areas to conduct health education awareness programs

- promoting health campaigns

 

5- In the field of Art 

- supervising Um Al Moumineen Women Workshop for tailoring and embroidery

- organizing art and handicraft exhibition

- organizing different art training programs
