Mission of Make-A-Wish Foundation International
The mission of Make-A-Wish Foundation International is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.


Make-A-Wish Global Reach
The Make-A-Wish Foundation has become the largest wish-granting organization in the world and can be found in 31 countries on five continents. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of America grants the wishes of children in the United States, Guam and Puerto Rico through its 66 chapters, while Make-A-Wish Foundation International serves children outside the United States in 31 countries on five continents. With the help of generous donors and 30,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 210,000 wishes worldwide since inception.

International Affiliates Formed
After the start of the Foundation in the United States, interest in granting the wishes of special children quickly spread to other nations. In 1993, Make-A-Wish Foundation International was officially formed to serve the five countries outside the U.S. that were already granting wishes. Today, Make-A-Wish Foundation International has affiliates in 30 countries on five continents.
