Globalisation and climate change are major drivers with an increasing influence on the stability of fragile mountain ecosystems and the livelihoods of mountain people. Three Strategic Programmes serve as a framework for meeting these challenges in the coming years and are the result of an analysis of the strategic interests of regional and non-regional members as well as of the Centre’s comparative advantages. The programmes are supported and facilitated by a common framework and cross-cutting Integrated Knowledge Management group.
