Activities and Programs

The Activates Of The Foundation
 
 
    Nahrain foundation for Relief and Development had its marked role in the relief of the sufferings of Iraqi people.

    It had an active attendance and presence in areas of hot events to take its role by relief and assisting people in the areas of conflict and supplying them with food, medicine, and drinking water. We also provided these people with mattresses, blankets,

water tanks.

    The foundation has also taken the responsibility of assisting indigent families providing: orphans sponsorship, medical treatment for patients, essential life requirements to harmed people, and providing infirmaries and hospitals essential medical requirements and first aids.

 

Below is a brief assemblance of our activities:

1.     Human aids (include, food stuff, medical aid, drinking water, clothing... est.) which has been distributed as follows :

A- 13482 families in Faluja area.

B- 611 Families in Rawa area.

C- 150 families Nassriyh area.

2.     Immediate  Relief:

A- With the beginning of the crisis of Falluja

(in 20-10-2004, Ramadan -1425H.) and the migration of its people to neighboring areas, our foundation initiated and provided a collective supper to 63 families everyday i.e. approx 600 people.

 B- The distribution of 80 water tanks (1000 lt. capacity) to schools which was inhabited by those people.

C- Our foundation provided Falluja general hospital with necessary medical aids and supplies on a daily basis.

 

D- The distribution of dry, canned food and fresh meat, we supplied 18 tons in this period i.e. 160 package daily.

E- Providing heavy winter jackets to 620 to migrated families member.

F- We distributed “Ramdan food basket“ which contains

(2 chickens, 2 lt. cooking oil, 4 packets of cheese, 1 tin of tomato paste and one plate of eggs) to 100 families besieged inside Falluja city and the distribution of 1370 such baskets to migrated families from Haditha, Rawa, Qayim, Karma, Saqlawiyh and Amiriyh areas.

3 – Our foundation took the responsibility to supply local medical centers with:

A - Patient beds.

B- Mattresses and bed sheets. 

C- Various medical supplies.

D –Wheel chairs

4- The foundation took the responsibility of supplying and supporting Iraqi women’s illiteracy eradication.

5- Supplying and supporting Baghdad, and Al-Mustanseriyh Universities Libraries with up-to-date and valuable books in order to raise the knowledge of the students and include:

A- Baghdad Uni.     B- Al-Mustansiryh Uni.

C- Mosul Uni.         D- Islamic Uni.

6- Providing the necessary patronage to Iraqi students and youth organizations whereby we provided:

A- Provision of 700 daily suppers for students inhabitances during the Holy month of Ramadan.

B- Taking students in recreation journeys to north of Iraq.

C- The inauguration of the first scout camping of the organization.

7- The supply of 1020 blankets and 220 kerosene heaters to Islamic health center in Khalidia.

8- Our foundation has accomplished the project of students bags and distributed 22870 bags to students in (Baghdad– Anbar– Dayala) governorates.

9- We have accomplish the distribution of 769 Bairam packages to children in (Baghdad– Anbar– Dayala) governorates.

10- We have sent 54 medical reports of incurable patients to charities in Jordan in order to provide medical treatment abroad. Some of those patients actually left for treatments, the rest are awaiting replies.

11- We have provided medical assistance to Al-Qayim general hospital during the last military intervention. we have also provided emergency medical aids and other kinds  of aids to Qayem area where we distributed 15 tons of flour, 75 tons of rice, 1500 lt. of cooking oil, and 3024 tons of tomato paste (1 kg) in a package reached 1490 families.

12- The foundation provided financial grants to the league of Islamic jurisprudence students.

13- The foundation has provided financial grants to Mosul University graduation ceremony.

14- We have provided wheelchairs to invalids.

15- We provided immediate food supplied to Rawa city during the last conflict in Aug, 2005.

We received many letters of gratitude and appreciation from Gov and NGO for the assistance provided by the foundation to the people who are still suffering of the great happening and catastrophe event .

We append below some of the letters we received , may Allah give us the will and strength to serve these wounded community and to relief the suffering of our people . and to assist these people and guide them and their families to be included in our humanitarian efforts by providing job opportunities and vocation training .
