Nahdet El Mahrousa is composed of full-time core staff in its headquarters in Cairo.

Board Of Directors
President : Ehaab Abdou

Ehaab Abdou is the founder and current President of Nahdet-El-Mahrousa. In 1999, he helped establish Fat’het Kheir; a leading Egyptian micro-finance NGO, and became its first President. In 1995-96, he was President of AIESEC Egypt. Recently he was selected as an Ashoka fellow, which would allow him to dedicate his full-time efforts to Nahdet-El-Mahrousa. Ehaab has a working experience of 5 years in Nestle, the Near East Foundation and Canada’s International Development Research Center (IDRC).
Ehaab earned his Masters degree in International Development from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. Ehaab’s main hobby is Arabic singing.

Secretary General : Maha Bali

Maha is Nahdet El Mahrousa’s secretary general. She coordinates volunteer management, and is a member of the mentoring and youth book projects.
Maha is currently an Instructional Technologist at the Center for Learning and Teaching at the American University in Cairo. She is also working on a Masters of Education in eLearning at the University of Sheffield in the UK. She has a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo.


Treasurer :Noha Sallam

Noha is Nahdet El Mahrousa’s treasurer. She is a member of the mentoring, youth book & graduation awards projects. Noha is currently the treasurer of Fat’het Kheir; a leading Egyptian micro-finance NGO.
Noha currently leads the customer care and consumers relations team at the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of Egypt. She had a 5 years working experience at Lucent Technologies Incorporation, Egypt Branch. Noha holds a B.Sc. in communications & electronics engineering from the faculty of Engineering, Cairo University.

Member : Ayman Ismail

Ayman Ismail is a member the Board of Directors of Nahdet-El-Mahrousa. He also leads “Mentoring for Leadership,” an innovative program aiming at developing young Egyptian talent through creating mentorship and personal development opportunities. Ayman is also the Planning Manager for the Egyptian American Community Foundation, a US-based non-profit foundation. In 1995-96, Ayman was Vice President of AIESEC Egypt.
Ayman Ismail is currently a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York. Ayman holds a Masters of City Planning and Information Systems from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds an MBA and a B.Sc. in Engineering from the American University in Cairo.

Shaimaa started her work at Nahdet El Mahrousa in August 2004. Shaimaa holds a BA in Political Science, American University in Cairo. Shaimaa is currently coordinating the Mentoring, Youth Book and Graduation Project Award programs, as well as assisting organization-wide functions.


Members Overview
- Nahdet El Mahrousa currently has a unique membership  that comes from diverse intellectual and professional backgrounds, and therefore see the development of Egypt from multidisciplinary perspectives - something that is deemed healthy and necessary.
- In Egypt, NM has a growing network of members active in key organizations such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Ahram Center for Strategic Studies, international donors operating in Egypt, the NGO Service Center, government and private sector corporations.
- Outside Egypt, most of the current Egyptian United States and United Kingdom based members are established in competitive academic institutions including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, the University of California - Berkeley, New York University, John Hopkins University, and The London School of Economics and Political Science. The membership outside Egypt includes both Egyptians living for short periods for education, or work purposes as well as Egyptian immigrants and residents of those countries.
