The name of the society is the International Society of Iraqi Scientists, which would
be referred to as (ISS).

The Iraqi is the person who was born in Iraq, or either one of his parents or ancestors
were of an Iraqi descent.

The society is a voluntary association of individuals and organizations who are interested in the mission and objectives. The ISS is an independent non-profit 501-C-3, non-governmental, nor it is affiliated with any political or any religious group or organization of what so ever origin. The organization is established to promote research and scientific collaboration among a worldwide network of Iraqi scientists.

Full Member: The ISS considers any qualified Iraqi individual with a distinguished scientific record of achievements and holding at least a Master degree or its equivalent (awarded by an accredited academic institution) to be a scientist and eligible for acceptance into the society as defined above. The ISS encourages all qualified applicants to join irrespective of their religion, race, ethnicity, sex, age, and health conditions.

MISSION:
The ISS, a non-profit and global scientific organization, is established to create and maintain communications, disseminate and promote research information, foster scientific collaboration among Iraqi scientists and interested organizations, for their advancement and the world at large.

OBJECTIVES:
- To establish and maintain scientific collaborations among Iraqi scientists all over the world.
- To facilitate the exchange of knowledge in various fields among Iraqi scientists, regardless of
  locality.
- To highlight the accomplishments of Iraqi scientists in the world as a model to future
  generations of Iraqi''s, especially youth.
- To enhance the development of research and education in various communities.
- To contribute scientific support to different organizations and individuals within communities.
- To enhance Iraqi cultural awareness in the international community.
