Fundraising Activities & Successful partnerships :
In addition to utilizing resources drawn from its own members and from Palestinians in the Diaspora, WA raises funds from the region through support committees and public campaigns. Since 1983, it has been a consistent and responsible source of development funds for Palestinians during a period that has spanned continuing occupation, political transition, the state-building process and, since the year 2000, the ongoing emergency situation in Palestine.
The Welfare Association has also played a pivotal role in mobilizing support for the implementation of its programmes and projects from international and regional donors, including the World Bank, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development, the Islamic Development Bank, the Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organisations (AGFUND), the OPEC Fund, the European Union, the US Agency for International Development, the Canadian Agency for International Development, Some United Nations agencies and others.

Programs :
The Welfare Association assists Palestinian development efforts through the main program tracks of Culture and Identity, Human Resource Development , and Capacity-building, and a special relief program of Humanitarian Assistance to the Palestinian refugee camp community in Lebanon. Children and youth, the poor, students, and special needs individuals are particularly targeted through both small and large-scale projects.
Since 2000, urgent relief and emergency development projects in health, education and housing have been supported under Emergency Programs.
Externally-funded, semi-autonomous programs within these tracks are the Old City of Jerusalem Revitalization Program, Information Technology for Youth Project, and the Palestinian NGO (PNGO) Project.
