Services:
ZENID has over 10 years of experience of delivering wide range of services that aim to transfer knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to bring about change in practice to the local and regional community. The variety of services range from, training, capacity building, to research and consultation.

ZENID is recognized nationally and regionally for its diverse capabilities in the area of human development, whereby individuals and agencies continuously gather at ZENID to engage in effective dialogue, participate in training as well as utilize ZENID as the key resource institute for development in Jordan.

TRAINING:
ZENID''''s main strength lies in its track record for the design and delivery of training for social development. Over the past 10 years, ZENID has gained considerable experience with different types of training designed to meet the development needs of clients from governmental, non-governmental organizations, youth groups, individuals and the private sector.

Our training methods are hands-on and participatory, focusing on exercises which reinforce learning through the application of new knowledge and skills to realistic work contexts. Our staff are recognized for the effective use of new approaches such as group work, peer research, learner-led presentations, simulation games, field visits, role play and team work.

The training component of ZENID focuses on building the capacity of social development practitioner, government officials, NGOs as well as individuals. Therefore ZENID aims to provide quality training, research and consultancies to contribute to the increase of social integration of vulnerable people, as well as to enhance equal access of opportunities for all individuals.

Our main strength lies in its track record for the design and delivery of training for social development. Since 1994, ZENID has gained considerable experience with various training programmes designed to meet the development needs of clients from governmental and non-governmental organizations and the private sector. Our staff are recognized for the effective use of new approaches such as group work, learner-lead presentations, simulation games, field visits, role-play and teamwork. Training at ZENID encompasses five major areas:

CONSULTANCY
ZENID provides consultancy on capacity building attempting to create an enabling environment for social change and empowerment. This is done through linking between the policy level and the field. This vision is reflected in the projects for which ZENID has provided consultancy advice to.

ZENID’s link to JOHUD enables it to benefit from the extensive outreach through the community development centres across the Kingdom.ZENID is therefore in a strong position to consult with people in local communities and transfer their needs and priorities
to the policy makers.

Types of consultancy

Consultation for the World Bank
the World Bank (WB) commissioned ZENID to implement consultation processes for ERFKE and the WB Jordan Country Assessment. The consultation of ERFKE aimed to feed into the Mid Term Review of the program. The consultation included focus groups with various stakeholders, including, teachers, parents, students and the private sector. ZENID met with the groups in 7 different cities of the Kingdom, representing North, Middle and South regions of Jordan. The process involved hearing their feedback, views and challenges on all components of ERfKE. It was the first time for people in the local communities to be part of a national process that will in turn, impact their futures.


ZENID has also done consultancies revolving around gender
Gender and Organisational Development with the Department of Land and Survey. Whereby ZENID worked with the staff of DOLS from all levels and aimed of mainstreaming gender in their organisation’s work. As a result, a gender unit was established that ensured the organisation’s gender equity directions. Additionally, ZENID worked on producing a handbook for development field practitioners entitled: “Initiative and Change, Promoting Gender Issues through Awareness and Advocacy”. As well as various consultations from hearing the views of young people on their role in political development in partnership with Jordanian National Commission for Women and the Prime Ministry, to assessing research and papers to ensure gender issues are reflected appropriately.

EVENT MANAGEMENT
The facilities in ZENID are fully equipped to host conferences,
 workshops, trainings as well as seminars.ZENID has 6 training
rooms, the largest one can hold up to 160 people, and the
smallest can hold 25 people.It also has a cafeteria whereby,
lunches and breaks can be prepared in house.

The idea of the cafeteria is to support women from the
surrounding area in gaining extra income into their households.
To date ZENID has hosted a variety of international, regional and
national events, including INTRAC, UN events.
