ACIJLP welcomes confirmation by the Supreme Judicial Council of the appointment of a woman to the judiciary

The Arab Center for the Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession (ACIJLP) is delighted by the Supreme Judicial Council’s approval (during a session convened on the ٢٦th December ٢٠٠٦) of the appointment of a woman to the Egyptian judiciary. It is equally pleased by the attention given by the Justice Minister towards enabling Egyptian women to enjoy their constitutional right to hold public office including judicial positions, as he made clear in his speech to the Supreme Judicial Council.
