ASK GOVERNING BOARD

ASK Governing board consists of 7 members who meet annually to provide policy level direction to our efforts and interventions. The brief profile of each of the the Governing Board members is enumerated below:

Ms Anita Gurumurthy is a development professional with experience of over a decade. Her core interests have included research and advocacy on development, with specific focus on areas such as gender, reproductive health, globalization, and the information society.  She is the founding member and Executive Director of IT for Change, an NGO located in Bangalore, India.

Dr. Aqueel Khan, a development professional with a PhD. in women empowerment, is the founding member and Director of ASK. Aqueel has over 15 years of experience of working at national and international assignments in the field of Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), NGO management and Sectoral issues such as Gender & development, Micro credit and micro enterprise development, Participatory irrigation management.

Fr. Mathew Kayani is currently the Director of  Purvanchal Gramin Chetna Samiti (PGCS), an NGO working in three districts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Fr. Mathew, trained in Belgium and Canada, is a NGO leader who besides leading PGCS, has provided leadership to a network of 15 NGO in Northern India.

Mr. S. Bharat brings with him sound financial management background especially related to NGOs. He is currently the finance manager in a National level NGO with its office in Delhi

Ms. Monica Ramesh, Master of Social Work, is the staff representative on the Governing board. Ms. Monica is a skilled trainer on CSR as well as development subject.

Mr. Khilesh Chaturvedi, Master of Social Work is a professional with 15 years experience from grassroots till international level. Facilitating development of NGOs on managerial and program aspects through trainings and evaluation is his area of expertise.

Mr. Hari Mohan Mathur is a development management and resettlement specialist and has worked in government as well as for several UN and international organizations including ADB, FAO, UNDP, UNESCAP, UNESCO and the World Bank. He is presently a consultant with ADB and UNDP and written and edited a number of articles on development-induced displacement
