Sustainable User Involvement Project

This Department of Health funded project has now come to an end. However, the database of user-led groups is now being managed by the Membership & Services Project which is Big Lottery funded. If you would like to discuss this database and be added to it or be put in touch with groups run and controlled by disabled people who have agreed to undertake consultation work please contact Margaret Bordogna-Crane who will be happy to assist you. Please be aware that the groups enrolled on this project will be charging a fee for their time and valuable knowledge.

Membership & Services Project

This three year Big Lottery Funded Project is aimed at providing support to our Member Groups and ensuring that the services that UKDPC provide are tailored to the needs of our membership. This project will develop a closer working relationship with our Member Groups providing assistance in areas defined by consultation and needs analysis. The aim of this project is to generate a more secure and sustainable future for our members by sharing good practice between and across our group, if necessary bringing in experts from within or outside our organisation to advise in areas such as trustee and governance, funding advice, disability equality and group management of membership services.

In this project UKDPC plans to maximise the potential of our member groups by encouraging Social Enterprise projects as a source of income generation building. This will be undertaken by encouraging our groups to identify skills and services they have which could be developed into an income generating Social Enterprise.

Margaret Bordogna-Crane is managing this project and the Membership & Services Administration Assistant is Martin Sims.
