Ardoch Youth Foundation is a community resourced, not for profit organisation working nationally to make education a reality for children and young people including those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
Ardoch believes education provides the means for creating options and choices in life. We recognise that when young people and families experience things like homelessness, poverty, family breakdown, alcohol or drug abuse, violence, unemployment, death or mental illness in the family, learning, language or cultural difficulties, it can be really difficult to access a relevant education. It can be difficult to learn and it can be difficult to stay at school.
We also recognise that many early childhood centres, primary and secondary schools lack the resources and ability to respond adequately to these needs.
This is where the Ardoch expertise lies – we actively seek resources to increase learning and welfare support for schools, early childhood centres, students and families.
Ardoch runs Education Support Centres in Central Melbourne, Frankston, Geelong and Sunshine as well as having projects in Brisbane,Perth and via our sister organisation the Daystar Foundation in Sydney.
