ACFODE''s Programmes:
The programmes are derived from the above focal areas:

* Advocacy for the formulation and implementation of gender sensitive educational policies and institutions
* Advocacy for Women and Girls'' Legal & Human Rights and Civic Education. The newest sub-program here is combating defilement, rape and sexual harassment in schools and communities in Uganda
* Advocacy for gender sensitive economic policies and micro finance institutions'' (MFI) including their related services, and gender responsive budgeting
* Advocacy for increased women''s access to, effective participation, retention, and strategic positioning in leadership and decision-making positions. Sub-programs under this area include: election monitoring from a gender perspetive; policy analysis and advocacy; leadership training for women leaders; gender budgeting in the national and local council processes; advocacy for the operationalisation of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) in Uganda
* Advocacy for women and girls'' access to strategic information and communication technologies (ICTs) and for positive portrayal of women in the media.
