Regarding this expansion in youth community, the need for a foundation for children and young people has become a must. Such foundation would give them the opportunity to express their point of view freely, and encourage them to participate in cultural and social life and also to raise them up on the proper way of social and democratic practice .in June 2003, a group of 6 persons started an action towards founding an association for the Bahraini child. They have formed the idea and presented it to school students who welcomed the project very much. After a while of hard work to deliver the idea to the concerning bodies, it was clear for everyone that it is not a welcomed project at all. So that all the moves and steps stopped.
In June 2004, the idea float up again by one of the mentioned group. It has started to be crystallized rapidly and a preparatory committee was formed to prepare the project of the association and to prepare the draft regulations. The committee worked for two month to prepare for the founding meeting of the association in September 2004.after holding the first meeting in the HQ of another association that showed the general idea and main points, the meetings continued to discuss the draft and form the project’s structure. The committee contacted many legal advisors to make use of their experience and advices to prepare the system and organizational structure of the association.

- Raising awareness among children about their rights and duties.
- Developing the spirit of voluntary, team and leadership work.
- Empowering the role of children in solving their problems in cooperation with local, regional and  international institutes.
- Enhancing relations and links with arab and international institutes by establishing contacting channels with the foundations who are concerned about childhood.
- Backing the patriotic spirit up and supporting the effective patriotic raising up of children.
- Helping and serving children according to available capabilities and caring for  their social issues, cultural affaires and psychological problems.
- Developing personality of children so that they can express their opinions, ideas and ambitions in an objective and constructive way.
- Emphasizing and assuring the Islamic principles and raising the religious conscious of the children.
- Taking care of the child and developing his educational, social and cultural level and improving his talents and creativity.
