Beginning of September 2004, a founding committee was elected to gain recognition for the Bahrain Child Society from the Ministry of Social Affairs. The committee believes that the 15th article of the convention of the rights of children, which Bahrain has signed in 1992, guarantees the right to establish such a society.

Bahrain Child Society is a Bahraini NGO that is working to save the rights of the children in Bahrain. it held lots of successful activities since September 2004.

Bahrain Child Society has a lot of objectives that reflects the needs of Bahrain children. It aims to spread awareness of child rights and responsibilities in the Bahraini society, as it also works hard to benefit from children potentials towards improving the whole country. The society looks forward to create real chances for young Bahrainis to participate and let all hear their voice.

The Society organized a major workshop in October 2004, regarding the Rights of the children. It also hold a series of workshops about volunteering, youth parliament, Convention on the Rights of the child, etc.
