Translating foreign information sources on Democracy and Governance into Arabic.
Researching successful civic education teaching techniques and “Egyptianizing” them (i.e. making sure that they are relevant and interesting)
Training teachers and assistants on the topics.
Rolling out the competition (in Arabic) across 9 governorates targeting around 3 million Egyptian students.
Conducting summer camps during which we teach the children and teen-agers to “interact” democratically.
To undertake projects in Egypt & Africa that will:
Instill in the children democratic values that ensure their increased participation in the governance process and promote practices of a tolerant and pluralistic society.
Act as a catalyst and a resource to create awareness on the importance of engaging citizens in the fight against corruption.
Highlight and advocate for an independent judiciary.
Increase political openness and democratic processes.
Elevate awareness on Human Rights issues.
Promote the rule of law and legal reforms.
Expand the community of reform minded individuals and groups & foster networks among the civil society community.
Fight Corruption & promote transparency & good governance.
Create new economic opportunities.
Enhance access to quality education systems.
Empower women.
Promote public awareness and involvement in political issues
