How we work
WEA is the vital linkage between existing services and resources and women’s on-the ground needs. We work with strategic partners, advisers, and regional teams to connect women to trainings, information, advisory services, technical support, mentorship programs, and communication technologies. Each phase of WEA’s work has a critical purpose--to connect and build coalitions between women leaders working on environmental issues.
Women’s Earth Alliance unites women environmental advocates around the world, providing the connections, resources and training they need to foster a thriving planet.
We envision a world in which women environmental leaders around the globe are in continual communication—cultivating partnerships, exchanging best practices, defining shared agendas, and collectively enacting a global shift towards environmental and social justice. We foresee a world in which women, with expanded access to both communication tools and decision-making processes regarding natural resource management, can powerfully participate in the development of global sustainability—thereby reducing poverty, encouraging democracy, promoting peace, and enhancing the social and environmental health of the planet.
