The mission of Hands of Hope is to provide supportive services to homeless school-aged children, preschool siblings, and their families.
These supportive services include: • showers • bathrooms • laundry facilities • information and referral • school readiness for children 0-5 • supportive academic tutoring for school-aged children • compassionate partnering, informal advocacy, self-help networking • limited food and clothing closets
Expanded services include: • on-site housing assistance and credit restoration counseling in partnership with Bridges-to-Housing • on-site medical/dental clinic on cooperative basis with several local providers • hosting workshops or events by other local agencies offering services appropriate to homeless families • continuing 4-year partnership with The Salvation Army, Sutter County Housing Authority and City of Yuba City for the annual Cold Weather Shelter Project that houses up to 25 families during the winter months
