About Us

Founded in 1970, CIELAP is an independent, not-for-profit research and education organization. CIELAP performs environmental research that is accurate, balanced, and evidence-based, and uses its findings to encourage laws, policies, and decisions in Canada that support the environment. We are registered as a Canadian charity.

Vision

Our vision is a world in which basic human rights include a safe and healthy environment, achieved through respect for, and preservation of, nature''s integrity and diversity.
