MS - Danish Association for International Co-operation - is a Danish NGO working to promote understanding and solidarity between people and, by co-operating across national and cultural boundaries, to contribute to sustainable global development and a just distribution of the earth''s resources.
MS’s work is coupled through a clear vision about a world in peace with better conditions for the poor and marginalised. A world where people cooperate to achieve global justice.
Hand in hand with 200 partner organisations in Africa, Central America, Asia, the Middle East and in the Balkans, we support the poor in the struggle for a better life. Our partners range from big national organisations to small community based groups, working with education, community development, the environment, hiv/aids, human rights and much more.
Where others provide medicine, roads or financial support, we focus on training, education, self organisation and exchange of experience – on investment in people because people are the most important resource in the development process. Development by people based on support of local partners is help to self-help and the foundation to ensure development as the poor people wish it to be themselves.
Advocacy at both local and global level give a voice to the poor to speak their cause themselves, and the development efforts in the South become coherent with decisions in the North – with a more solidary development policy.
Among other means we support our partners by posting development workers. If you wish to make an effort for the world’s poor, keep an eye on our jobs and submit to our job mailing list.
