The foundation of the advisory role of the Council is the development of policy through a democratic resolution process. NCWC policies are based on concerns discussed at the grassroots level from Study Groups, Local Councils, Provincial Councils and Nationally Organized Societies. Council members may speak only on existing policy when contacting the government, the media and the public.
The Policy and Briefs section includes some basic information about the resolution process of NCWC, and highlights of what has been approved. We are currently working on reviewing and updating all our Policies and will be adding these as they become available.
If you would like more information about the Resolution to Policy to Brief process, go to About Policy and Briefs, take a look at the Policy Highlights over the years, or browse through our subject listings of Policies, and read through some of the Briefs.
