Activities and Programs

Activities :
Our manager and members participated in many sessions and training workshops with many famous internationals organizations and its…(American institute of peace-IRI-NDI-RTI-world vision-people in need- Counter part).
Our organization organized the first conference for non-governmental organizations in Mosul in 16/9/2004 in hall of (Nineveh palace hotel) and contained most of non- governmental organization, which working in Mosul and many journalists – satellite and TV channels were attend the conference.               
We achieved many projects by supporting from anther international donors like (RTI, DDA, OTI, NDI, ADI) many projects was for take care of orphans and poor by donate of the organization member.
We own responsibility of lead and organize the conference of academy and conference of tribes.
 Leaders in north of Iraq and the first student conference.
We participated in many local conferences with ministry of civil community and co-ordination conference of Iraqis organizations in Baghdad.  

Coalitions & alliances :

1. Our society fills the position of deputy president of Ninawa council of culture & arts, which includes the membership of: General union for writers and educated people in Ninawa, society of plastic arts artists, union of dramatists, union of musicians of Ninawa, union of Iraqi journalists-North branch.
2. An establishing member of Al-adala network for prisoners(which monitors the violations of prisoners' rights in Iraq currently)
3. Member of NGOs forum in Iraq, which encompasses 50 Iraqi organizations from all Iraqi provinces.
4. A partner of EIN network fro monitoring elections.
5. We have bilateral coalitions with other organization from other provinces, together submitted joint proposals(like,civic rights in Dohuk, human rights activists organization in Basra, Aamal organization in Baghdad, human rights organization in Babil).

Goals of organization :
A. Promoting the cultural awareness of the academic, literary, artistic, educational, social and economic aspects; looking forwards to see a better Iraqi youth fact in a society of freedom.
B. preserving our genuine culture through positive interaction and new academic reading that suits the modern givens and the existent cultural and educational trends on the Iraqi, Arab, and international arena by evaluating them, and promoting the personality of our youth.
C. Practicing criticism and all levels of the institutes and projects, and practices to all levels for the sake of promoting and prosperity of our community. 

 Activities already conducted by the organization :
1- The cultural session of Mosul : It was a cultural and artistic pageantry, encompassed presenting several displays on stage, holding fairs for the plastic arts and photography and architecture, plus a folklore music parade.

2- Summer students training campaign : training more than 600 students (male, female) on computers and internet, sports, crafts, mechanics.
Date of the activity: 15th July 2004 
Target audience: students of Mosul university
Period of this activity:  6 weeks

3- First conference for NGOs in Mosul : this conference included many discussions and lectures aimed at developing Mosul NGOs and it called upon holding an alliance and unions for the NGOs in Mosul
Date of this activity: 16th  Sept. 2005

4- Finding jobs for the new grads : training and rehabilitating 60 members of our society (new grads) within their specializations, and dispelled them according to their own wishes at a salary 60 $ monthly.

5 - Participation of women in the elections : Provoking and motivating women to take part in the election process.

6- Democratic dialogue programme : spreading the awareness on democracy and freedom of expression
Date of the activity: 2nd of Jan. 2004
Target audience: Youth and students
Period of the activity: 6 months
Donor: DDA-RTI

Our society is officially registered according to the document issued by the ministry of planning, no. 1z 13496, and also registered at the ministry of foreign affairs No. 10154 on the 27th of Sept.2004.

Future plans :
- Six months plan : training youth to take part in the election process.
- One year plan : preparing for developing mass media and cultural enlightenment for the sake of entrenching the principles of democracy in the mind of people as well as issuing a magazine called the youth tomorrow.
- Three years plan : establishing a cyber school for young people and organizing the first regional pageantry for youth.
