Outreach International works with people in communities all over the world. In our Human and Community Development program, we work with men and women in more than 50 communities helping them identify and resolve their problems. Our Literacy and Child Survival program operates in more than 100 schools, serving some 12,000 students, equipping them with the skills to break out of poverty and live full and healthy lives.
And through our Civil Society program, we work with community groups to help residents build organizations that will ensure participatory democracy and effective local governance.
In all, Outreach International currently works in 12 countries around the world, enabling hundreds of thousands of individuals to overcome the effects of poverty.
We believe that when the poor are intimately involved in their own development, the results are long lasting. Our experience has taught us that when people work together to resolve the problems of poverty, hope is born and lives are transformed.
We are committed to the principles of participation in all of our program areas. Helping the poor help themselves. That’s what we do.
Outreach International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit human development agency.
