The Stiftung is acting nationwide in two civic education centres and 16 regional education institutes. It has its headquarters in Sankt Augustin near Bonn and Berlin. In ten departments are working 560 employees.

World wide the Stiftung more than 80 colleagues support more than 200 projects in over 120 countries.
