CIDT carries out commercial translation projects for international and local organisations in Cairo, as well as for a growing number of clients in Europe and elsewhere in the Middle East. Our translators and editors are highly experienced in a wide range of translation activities. Not only is our work fast but our native language editors proof read every article and translation to ensure that the work you receive is accurate in every way.
The Center for Intercultural Dialogue and Translation (CIDT) has developed from a private initiative in 1994 and today provides accurate translations from Arabic to English (and of course English to Arabic) and we can also provide translations to and from German, Dutch and Danish.
Much of our work centers around translating news articles and reports that appear in a range of Arabic newspapers, and which are of particular interest or relevance to intercultural and Arab-West relations. These translations are then made available to students, researchers, journalists and others through the Arab-West Report (AWR), a weekly electronic digest of translated summaries from articles in the Arab media that is published by the Arab-West Foundation
