SAUDI SOCIETY OF FAMILY & COMMUNITY MEDICINE JEDDAH OFFICE
The Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine (SSFCM) was established under the auspices of King Faisal University in 1991.
Objectives of the Society:
The main goal of the Society is promotion of Family and Community Medicine and Primary Health Care services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the following sub-objectives:
1.Participation in improving knowledge, attitudes and practice of primary health care workers.
2.Sharing in development of Family and Community Health Services
3.Cooperation and collaboration of ideas and expertise between family and community health workers.
4.Exchanging scientific works in the field of Family & Community Medicine between organizations and establishments inside and outside the Kingdom.
5.promotion of Public Health Education.
Jeddah office was established in 1991 headed for the last ten years by Dr.Waleed Milaat, Professor of Community Meds in King Abdulaziz University Hospital and Dean of Jizan Medical Collegue .
The office established a lot of Primary health Care Activities & Conferences. The last was the 5th conference of Saudi Society of Family & Community Medicine.
During the last year we tried to attract all the qualified Family & community medicine doctors to be members in our society and we did our best efforts to encourage all the continuous Medical Education activities in the whole region.
