"IBDAA" (an association for developing and encouraging visual arts in the Arab sector in Israel).

Ibdaa was founded in 1995 on an unprofitable basis. It was established as a result of the need to frame Arab artist and of special circumstances and discussions among Arab journalists, poets and writers as well.

As we (ibdaa) are on the verge of the 21st century, ignoring the issue of art in our Arab society has become absolutely irrelevant.

On the contrary, art is now becoming a subject and an issue worth of being studied and taught in school. And is worth to be appropriately evaluated. Art in itself constitutes a mirror that reflects a most prestigious and admirable part of great Arab culture and civilization.

Visual arts had been placed as our first priority since establishing Ibdaa.

The effort to promote public artistic awareness of visual arts has been expressed in terms of holding exhibitions and creative workshops at short intervals.

The second role that our association had undertaken is to bring about a state of public acceptance of plastic and visual arts.

The Association hold seminars intended to provide informative and psychological qualification to the audience so that arts be easily and properly perceived as a whole, ibdaa is open to constructive discussion, exchanging ideas cooperation with individuals, bodies in Israel and international institutions.

Perceiving art as an international language and as means of communication for all nations has perhaps always been the emblem as well as the goal of "Ibdaa".
