History
The Royal Scientific Society was established in 1970 as a non-profit NGO enjoying financial and administrative independence. RSS activities and policies are supervised by the Board of Trustees chaired by HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal. Major sources of funding are self-generated revenues; technical services, studies and research contracts. RSS also receives some government grants, grants and donations from local institutions, and technical assistance from other governments, regional and international organizations. The institute aims at disseminating awareness in the scientific and technological fields and providing specialized technical consultations and services to the public and private sectors. It seeks to develop scientific and technological co-operation with similar institutions around the world.
Vision
To be a leading national S&T institution performing quality research, consultations, technical services, and specialized training keyed to knowledge, innovation, and excellence for the service of the region and the development and prosperity of the Jordanian community.
