IDEA’s Mission is to:
Nurture and develop the untapped aptitude potential and creativity in children by facilitating opportunities for educational demonstrations, by enabling talent search and through professional career focused development programs, and provide clearly focused career guidance to the younger generation, using the abundant voluntary expertise and resources available in the country.
Activities
Career Guidance
Based on the aptitude of students, IDEA aims to provide a clear focus to guide the career aspirants to choose a career that suits her/his aptitude the most from amongst the smart career options available.
This advice is provided by a panel of professionals at the career guidance forum that IDEA organizes as an annual event focused on senior students from grades 10 to 12.
IDEA hosted the first Career Guidance Forum during 22nd to 24th June 2005 in Abu Dhabi where professionals offered guidance in disciplines ranging from commerce, finance, banking, management, engineering, medical science to general streams.
IDEA’s 2nd professional Career Guidance Forum was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education at CERT Technology Park, Abu Dhabi on 25th April 2008. Over 600 senior students participated in the career sessions. Educational Demonstrations
Educational project based demonstration is an annual event organized by IDEA to provide students in grades 8 to 12 across the UAE a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity and talents in career focused disciplines of engineering, technology, medical science and other fields of educational interest.
Awards are presented to the winning teams in three categories: Best Innovative Theme, Best Informative Demonstration and Best Presentation.
The first edition of IDEA’s educational demonstration, involving about 250 students in 75 teams, was held on 22nd and 23rd June 2005 in Abu Dhabi. This event was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr Majid Al Mansouri, Secretary General of Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD).
The second edition of annual student educational demonstration was held under the patronage of His Excellency Dr Hanif Hassan, the UAE Minister of Education and in association with Abu Dhabi University on 15th and 16th December 2006 at the University Campus in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. 250 teams formed by about 750 multi-national students participated in this educational exhibition.
The third edition of IDEA Annual Students Educational Exhibition was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan, UAE Minister of Education at the Abu Dhabi Indian School Campus on 2nd and 3rd January 2009. Over 700 students of Grades 7 to 12 in 250 teams representing 19 schools and 25 nationalities from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ruwais and Al Ain presented their creativity and talents in disciplines ranging from engineering, medical science, technology to general streams during the two-day event sponsored by Etisalat.
H.E. Mr. Rashid Salem Al Nuaimi, Director General, Ministry of Education inaugurated the event at a glittering opening ceremony which was attended by H.E. Mr. Talmiz Ahmad, the Ambassador of India to the UAE.

Talent Search
IDEA organizes ‘Annual Talent Search’ amongst students in grades 1 to 12 across the UAE, with a slogan of ‘in search of budding talents’. This aims to search budding talents in drawing, coloring, poetry, elocution and quiz contests and recognize outstanding performers in the respective fields at 6 levels.
The first UAE Open Talent Search was conducted by IDEA on 12th May 2006 in Abu Dhabi where over 1,200 students from 32 schools across the UAE participated. The Award Presentation Ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr Chandra Mohan Bhandari, Ambassador of India to the UAE and Dr. Reynold Macpherson, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University.
The second UAE Open Talent Search competitions where held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education at the Abu Dhabi Indian School Campus on 6th June 2008. Over 2,500 students, representing 24 Nationalities, from 41 Schools across 4 Emirates, participated in the day-long student focused event which was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan. Dr. Maryam Al Ali, Director of Private Education, Ministry of Education, presented Talent Awards to the winners at a glittering award presentation ceremony.
Seminars
IDEA believes in continuously enhancing the skills and knowledge of children. With this belief in mind, youth focused seminars are organized to impart knowledge from renowned trainers and facilitators to the students.
