The Egyptian Association For Community Participation Enhancement (EACPE)
History and Background
“ The Egyptian Association For Community Participation Enhancement” is a non governmental organization, founded in May 2001, and registered with MOSA under the number (5481) on February 2004 . Although its new registration, many of the founding members had activly participated throughout the past decade, until present in the capacity building of a number of organizations, networks and coallitions that are the most active in implementing CRC, CEDAW, Beijing Platform of Action, and also in different activities of the civil soceity on the national, regional and international levels. 

Objecives:
1. To enhance community participation, through different civil society organizations, with special emphasis on youth from both sexes.
2. To empower people, specially youth and women.
3. To facilitate founding of new NGOs that work in the field of advocacy, community development, women issues……etc.
4. To activate the implementation of “International Conventions On Human Rights”.
5. To raise awareness of the society on the constitutional and legal rights.
6. To develop policies with other parteners, that help in creating suitable environment for community participation and political reform.
7. To build the capacity of NGOs cadres, on local, national and regional levels and facilitate their networking.
8. To persuade the Egyptian private sector, in the participation of   socil responsibility.
9. To exchange information and expereince with partner organizations at the local, regional and international levels.

Mission:
The EACPE is concerned with activating community participation among all sectors of the society, within a context that integrates human rights with sustainable human development, atcheived and benifited by all citizens through an active process of democratic reform of the Egyptian Society.
