The main activities running by AWA at present?
• Income generating activities through provision of loans, vocational training and small business management training.
• Prevocational training technical Math, technical English and Free hand sketching
• Empowerment training in areas of gender concepts, legal aid, conflict resolution, leadership, environment awareness, mother and child care, health education and reproductive health and business training
• Social mobilization within the area where AWA is planning to extend its activities. It includes variety of activities such as combating harmful traditional practices, peace building and conflict resolution, gender awareness and health awareness.
• Adult literacy through the special methodology of REFLECT where by women are aware of the surrounding environment be it economic or social that will help them to develop their skills and capacities besides numerical literacy
• Adolescent activities where girls and boys are targeted by literacy activities so that they are eventually enrolled in formal education. This is also accompanied by basic knowledge on health, hygiene and environmental issues. Basic artistic skills are also tapped and encouraged
• Children projects mainly through creating space for children within the women working premises.
• Health services providing mother and child health services for the women and children in areas where there is lack of such services
• Peace building within the IDPs women aiming at enhancing non violent means of solving conflict as well as encouraging the sense of hope and peaceful future within the IDPs population.
• Strengthening of CBOs & Networking building the capacity of community based organizations to secure sustainability of programs and establishment of networks for more coordination among organizations.

9. Social mobilization 4 implemented by French Embassy and Uncief
10. Eradication of FGM sponsored by Equality now
