It was founded in 1998 G. (1419 H.) by virtue of the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Majid Bin Abdulaziz (bless his soul) under the name of “Makkah Al-Muikarramah Society for Development and Social Services”
It was registered in the Register of charities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under No. 174, dated 25/06/2000 G. (22/03/1421 H.)
The name of the Society was amended to read “The Society of Majid Bin Abdulaziz for Development and Social Services” by virtue of the Decision of His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, No. 6/24428/A, dated 26/04/2006 G. (23/03/1427 H.)
The Society of Majid Bin Abdulaziz for Development and Social Services works tirelessly to leave its mark on the development sector through a social perspective reflecting its vision. This vision is a continuation of the founder’s initiative, HRH Prince Majid Bin Abdulaziz (bless his soul).
Since its re-launch in 2006, the Society aims to become an operational hand that activates the public sector’s social responsibility towards the Saudi citizens.
This step is achieved through developing and introducing specialized programs that contribute significantly to the fulfillment of the society’s needs, while learning from similar local and regional experiences, in addition to various strategic collaborations that enrich the operational aspect of the current and forthcoming projects.
