It’s oldest project is the “ Hostel” for the students away from home where about 70 residents get the necessary services in a family and caring atmosphere.
- The ready made meals started in 1990 by the help of the AMERICAN AID through ministry of social affairs. Meals and sweets are prepared and sold at reasonable prices to help women especially the working women.
- The association arranges training opportunities in Home Economics ( theory and practice) for different groups in the society.
- The Y also arranges panels and meetings where top men and women deal with women interest- ( family planning - reproductive health - women’ rights - social and political etc….)
The Y also shares in many women conferences in the country.
Future plans:
- A center to train women in Home Economics
( Income producing projects)
- Literacy classes.
- A computer center
