The Association carries out projects that aim at resisting poverty and unemployment for the benefit of low-income sectors of the society, based on partnership approximation and gender approximation. The projects of the association are funded through partnership and cooperation relationships between the beneficiaries on the one hand, and national interest, foreign associations, international UN related programs and other mechanisms on the other hand.

The Means :

The S.D.I  realized integrated development projects in the following domains :
- Practical training in agriculture and craftsmanship.
- The animation and dynamism of community life.
- The youth development.
- The creation and improvement of durable income.
- The creation and improvement of basic substructures and services.
- The diffusion of the applied researchs’ results.
- The transfer of appropriate technologies.

The Strategy :

The Association’s strategy is the local, involved, axcending and joint development.

The Intervention Approach :

The S.D.I adopts the involved and community approach.

Strategic Axes :

The S. D. I  works in the framework of partnership with its target groups (basic partners) and in accordance with its strategy in order to :
- Contribute in an autonomous development of persons or communities where the one way dependance is at least felt (the two ways dependance is of course the alternative )
- Mobilize in the service of our target groups the heritage of available knowledge necessary to their development. This mobilization will be done to respond to the different needs of those for which this knowledge has been produced ;thus the exploration and applied research .
- Explore new ways which are more in accordance with our national conception of development and with land’s survival because the dominant method of production and consumption may hinder our social and economic equilibrium .
- Associate modernity and tradition in order to permit to each one of us to find the ways of adaptation to the modern world , conformable to his identity to his history and to his environment .
- Encourage novel projects of young people which echo the S.D.I’s aim and which are compatible with the professional insertion.
