As a national umbrella organization that  unifies national youth associations in Republic of Macedonia, MSM promotes the following
Principles and Goals  :
 •   MSM is an open platform for cooperation and dialogue of youth organization among themselves and with other organization and associations in the country and worldwide.
 •   MSM is a platform for presentation of common interests of youth organizations before the authorities, public and international governmental and non-governmental organizations.
 •   MSM is an open structure for all democratic youth organizations with prior presentation of its individual and global policy.
 •   MSM is an association of non-governmental and nonprofit and autonomous youth organizations
 •   MSM stands up for the youth influence on legislative regulation and other issues that matters the young population in the Republic of Macedonia.
 •   MSM cooperates with other youth organization and association in the country and world wide.
