Support and enhance scientific research and Arab humanistic creativity; build bridges of dialogue and cultural communication; collect and disseminate general knowledge by all feasible means, in conjunction with the grand vision of the late Abdul Hameed Shoman, his desire for the elevation of the Arab nation, and the conviction he had of the ability of this nation to bring forth great achievements in the realms of science and civil progress.

Contribute, directly and indirectly, to Arab scientific research and to its enhancement through the efforts of institution committees or individuals, provided that it leads to an increase in knowledge and has practical benefits to the Arab world. The Foundation's area of interest includes various research and studies in natural, basic, applied and technological sciences, as in their order of priority to the Arab world.

Contribute to bringing up a generation of Arab scientists, experts and scholars in the fields of natural, basic, applied, technological. developmental sciences; and helping them to develop their skills and expertise, considering the Arab nation's need for this type of scientific skills on the one hand, and on the other, considering the importance of empirical sciences and technologies in the world today, for the benefits that they can bring to all developing nations.

Create the proper climate for interaction among Arab intellectuals, scientists, educators and creative thinkers. i.e. the vanguards of intellectual and scientific projects.
