WHO WE ARE
Manitoba Eco-Network promotes positive environmental action by connecting people and groups in our communities. We educate, we facilitate, we celebrate!
Manitoba Eco-Network is an umbrella for environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGO''s) throughout the province. We welcome individual, ENGO and associate members to our organization.
We are a registered charitable organization, and a regional affiliate of the Canadian Environmental Network, based in Ottawa.
WHAT WE DO
Connecting Manitobans and providing environmental information and education gives us many opportunities for programs, projects and activities.
Resource Centre - Alice Chambers Memorial Library
We operate a library of environmental resources, in the form of books, reports, magazines, journals and videos for free loan to the public and including a public registry of all development proposals in the province.
Member Group Services
We provide networking and information services for our more than 50 Member Groups, as well as providing meeting space and equipment for those groups without offices. We also hold events and workshops and an annual Member Forum to bring our groups together and share information to help them work more effectively.
Information and Referral Services
We connect government, media and the public with our environmental and social reform member organizations working on a wide variety of issues as well as experts in the community and beyond.
