Research

Scenario Development: GTI’s work rests on a strong scientific platform of data and modeling. Scenarios are updated and enhanced in an ongoing process of research and quantitative simulation.

Deepening the Vision: GTI studies critical themes, elaborating the Great Transition vision and transition strategies. Essays are collected in the GTI Paper Series, Frontiers of a Great Transition.

Outreach

Presentations: Participants present GTI ideas in venues throughout the world, such as social forums, international assemblies, and professional conferences, and give radio and TV interviews, publish widely, and consult on films.

Dissemination: GTI material is distributed to a wide audience and worked into journal articles. Materials are translated into major languages. The GTI website is being enhanced as a resource on global scenarios, including educational materials, data access, and scenario visualization.

Network Building

Participants: The GTI network is expanding gradually to reach new audiences, and improve regional and gender balance. Members participate in an ongoing electronic discussion on global conditions, alternative futures, and priorities for action.

Civil Society: GTI expands its wide web of links with kindred civil society organizations and networks for purposes of information exchange, mutual support, and conducting joint efforts.
