Digital Media Lab
In 2002, American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba is launching a major initiative to create a state-of-the-art facility, providing Cuban artists with the technological tools for creating, documenting and preserving contemporary Cuban art. This initiative is being supported in part by Rhode Island School of Design and by Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and will be housed at the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba. The lab will ensure greater possibilities of expression and interaction between artists and audiences. (2002-2004)
 
Jose Martí Conference - A Sesquicentennial Celebration
American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba is collaborating with the Jose Martí Program in Havana and several universities and colleges in the U.S. to hold a conference commemorating the 150th anniversary of Jose Martí''s birth. Jose Martí lived in New York City and wrote for the New York Sun. (2003)
 
Ludwig Foundation of Cuba Art Library
American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba is assisting LFC in becoming the most extensive audiovisual documentation art center of Cuba that will include books, catalogs, videos and other digital information. Institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum and the Public Library in NYC are collaborating by providing material. (2002-2004)
 
Ludwig Foundation of Cuba Photo Lab
The Tish School of the Arts and The Ludwig Foundation of Cuba will be setting up a new refurbished photo lab to be used by young Cuban photographers. This program is being supported by The Tish School of Arts, NYU and by ICAIC. (2003)
