FTTC is a non profit organization established by the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade (MIFT) as the first specialized training center in export promotion. FTTC establishment came to support the Egyptian Government’s clear vision towards a competitive and comprehensive trade scheme, setting export promotion as a priority for the next decade.
The Centre was established in year 2001 after thorough studies and several steps that had been conducted by the Egyptian Ministry in collaboration with the Japanese Government represented by:-
Japan International Cooperation Agency – JICA
Japan External Trade Organization – JETRO
The idea was born in 1996 by the Egyptian Government request submitted to the Government of Japan for the technical cooperation to establish a training center with the aim of the human resource development in trade issues and business skills.
FTTC started operation in 2002 and signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the cooperation with JICA and since then both were jointly engaged to create a training institution to deliver training courses and services related to business and trade development using the state-of-the-art in training methods and techniques for accelerating the awareness of the global market needs and competitiveness
