The main aim of the Emirates Diving Association (EDA) is to conserve, protect and restore the U.A.E. marine resources by understanding and promoting the marine environment and environmental diving.
EDA was initiated in 1995 by the instructions of H.H Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, late President of the United Arab Emirates, who felt the importance of diving and the need to protect U.A.E. marine life from further destruction and pollution.
The Environmental Objectives of EDA:
• Promote research on the marine environment.
• Increase public awareness concerning the marine environment, especially among school children.
• Promote from Clean Up Arabia Campaign
• Promote for Eco-Diving in the UAE
