Tamer is an educational non-governmental non-profit organization established in 1989 as a natural and nessessary response to urgent needs in the Palestinian community. The most important of those needs, according to the Institute, is the need to acquire means to help people learn and produce.
vision: creating alternatives to learning in various locations and to the largest number of people is the locus of the vision and philosoophy of the Institute. Learning, according to Tamer Institute, is creating a connection between language, action, and construction of knowledge, within a common vision and context. The Institute's vision includes, as an integral part of the learning process, the respect for the human being and nature, as the natural context for any work or expression or idea. The concept of learning is also linked to tranksforming all expressions, knowledge, and structures into cultural products.
