El Wedad Society achieved the following activities till Sept.1st, 2005:
- 234 activation series of sessions aiming enhancement of social and educational capabilities and psychosocial support for 4200 children.
- 374 awareness meetings for parents in terms of dealing with children and methods of intervention. 5143 persons have attended these meetings.
- 60 workshops were held for 1416 youth from secondary schools and universities in order to discuss their common issues.
- 10 training courses in managerial, financial or technical issues were performed for 250 trainees either from El Wedad or other societies.
- 10 open communal meetings were held for 500 persons from general public and decision makers in order to discuss social issues of children, youth and family.
- 403 children were fellow up either individually or through child to child approach in order to enhance their capabilities and solve their psychosocial problems.
- 2250 home visits were carried out to support families of 183 martyrs and prisoners psychosocially and help them to overcome the new situation they face.
- 5200 home sessions were carried out for 629 injured or physically disabled to provide them with psychosocial support in order to integrate them in their local community.
- 191 weal chairs and technical aids were provided to physically disabled people with cooperation with other societies and associations.
- 65 physically disabled people have got vocational training and non profit loans in order to create jobs for them.
- Home adaptation was implemented for 55 physically disabled people to help them to participate in social activities and integrate them in their community.
- 8 summer camps were held for 1450 physically disabled children and youth as a sort of psychosocial support.
- 3 magazines and several booklets and stickers were published for children and youth social counseling.
- El Wedad prepares and executes different social and communal programs for Palestine television and local broadcasting stations to distribute its messages as much as possible.
