We help and provide financial aid to 300 families by giving them a monthly allowance. The society takes very special care of the divorced women and widows.
We provide the hospital located inside the University of Medicine with medical equipment and medicaments and we provide financial assistance to those patients who are required to undergo major and minor surgical operations. We provide medicine to patients who are afflicted with a chronic illness that needs treatment with expensive medicine.
We provide financial assistance to those students who are unable to pay for their tutorial fees we also provide clothing to school children in the primary and preparatory stages.
We provide the old people House with full meals. We also provide the kindergartens and juveniles with meals.
We provide clothing for college students and to that effect we arrange an annual market that serves about 3000 of the male and female college students.
We provide 3000 meals per day during the month of Ramadan.
We send these meals each day to the poor people in their houses after studying their state through social workers.
We provide assistance in case of disasters, great misfortune or suffering as in the case of the people of Iraq, Kuwait also in case of floods and earthquakes.
The society is always keen on attending international and local conferences and is also keen on joining the training seminars.
Cultural and Educational Co-operation:
The society has previously subscribed to the “Declaration of Principles” pertaining to the group of organizations that are involved with the children’s Rights-and has previously been chosen as a member committee of this conglomerate group.
The society has been chosen as a general co-ordinator of this group and has been assigned with the execution of a project plan for gouging together the non government institutions for the child’s Right and this has been sponsored by the United Nations children’s Fund. UNICEF.
The society has already arranged a workshop regarding the child’s Rights and has also joined in all the workshop pertaining to children’s rights and which were held in Egypt.
The society has also joined in the workshop of the handicapped which was held in Cyprus and Alexandria through the UNICEF.
The society has joined in all the meetings that were held in relation to the Arab declaration of child’s Rights and within the general frame of the directing work plan of the first decade of the twenty – First century that was held though the general administration of the social and cultural affairs in the Arab League.
The society has joined in all the workshop that were arranged through the social Fund relating to women-small projects – discrimination based on sex (between Man and woman).
The invitation of the chairman for joining the preparatory committee for discussing the newly proposed law of societies, proposed by the Ministry of social Affairs.
Inviting the chairman to join the 25th conference of the October war.
Attending the Pekin conference in china and all the previous preparatory conferences.
The annual Exhibition:
The society arranges an annual exhibition President’s Mubrak wife “Susan Mubrak” takes care of this exhibition and for the interest of all the projects that were made by the society.
The society’s annual exhibition is for the sake of the other charity projects in which the society is involved in marketing youth products, small scale manufacturing, small industry’s projects, marketing the product by co-operating with the large companies that share in the exhibition.
Women’s service center:
The women represent 50% of the society. Taking care of the women in the society by providing them with the services they require will undoubtedly lead to the well being and prosperity of the Egyptian community. This will also help in taking big steps towards progress, by living in prosperity.
The working woman has become an effective force in the various fields of work in Egypt.
The working woman needs the service so that she may be able to make a balance between her work and her role at home, she has to keep an intricate balance between her family and her place of work. For this reason the society established this special center for providing service and help to the working woman and it represents one of our varied activities at the General Egyptian society for the protection of children in Alexandria. A group of highly honored ladies in Alexandria work in the administration of this society.
