The ELIAMEP is working on several activities such as:

1- Research
ELIAMEP conducts a number of research programmes that address specific needs and interests of policy-makers, as well as the Foundation's own agenda.
Important subjects for research at ELIAMEP have included European integration and Greece's experience as an applicant and later as a member state of the EU; the deepening and widening of European and regional organisations; comparative political, economic and military developments in Southeastern Europe, the Black Sea area, the Caucasus, the wider Mediterranean and Middle East region; and Greek-Turkish relations and the Cyprus issue (including strategies of tension reduction and conflict resolution).
ELIAMEP's research is conducted in the form of individual or team projects by the Foundation's associates. The aim is to explore particular problems, identify contingencies and recommend practical and policy-oriented solutions.

2- Events
Every year, ELIAMEP organizes events with the aim of exchanging and developing new ideas, disseminating information among scholars and policy-makers and contributing to the wider debate about issues of foreign policy and international affairs. These events include briefings and lectures, which are given by distinguished guest speakers, like senior politicians and diplomats, academics and journalists of high calibre. ELIAMEP also organizes a series of workshops, as part of its Research Programmes, as well as training seminars for high-ranking officials and policy-makers from Greece, Southeastern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Black Sea and Middle East regions, the EU and the U.S.

3- Publications
Publications play a major role in the Foundation’s work as more than 170 studies, seminar and conference proceedings, working papers and monographs (in Greek and English) have been published since 1988.
Eliamep publishes a number of series, including monographs known as Occasional Papers, Policy papers, Postgraduate notes, Regional reports and commentaries, all referring to contemporary international issues.
The Journal of Southeast European and Black Sea Studies is the official journal of ELIAMEP, published four times a year by Taylor & Francis Group (Routledge Journals, London). All research articles published in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.

4- ELIAMEP Times
ELIAMEP TIMES aims at providing the Foundation's updates on a bi-monthly basis including opinions, interviews from its associates and friends and other scholars who wish to comment on recent regional and international developments. In addition, the newsletter informs its readers about our new publications and forthcoming events organised by ELIAMEP.
