The activities that the Village of Hope exercises :
• The social welfare through many of the programs of the social services
• Training and rehabilitation of the young people .
• The notification of different professions .
• The development of abilities .

And that are carried out by different vocational departments:
1) The greenhouses
2 ) The automated bakery
3 ) The carpentry
4 ) Carpets ( Looming and weaving )
5) Artistic works
6 ) Poultry barn ,  Goose , Cows
7 ) An educational kitchen
8 ) A workshop for the work of the waxes
In each department from these departments with training the number of students from 4 : 6  ,  taking into consideration that all of these activities are trained in the work in all those parts alternatively

The most important achievements that materialized through the years of 2005  / 2006  as follows :
1. The acceptance of a number of  new students took place - and 45 boys and girls are now training
2. In January 14th, 2005- we celebrated the New Year and the Christmas in the village with more than 300  disabled children from some other centers and schools from around the area, with Christmas songs and gifts from Ksar al Doubra Church  , and flying shoe box program from the U.S.A.
3. The joining of the young men of Saint Mark Assosiation and Saint Joseph center  and 15 young men and ladies spread for training in the Hope Village Society .

4. Joining 3 young men from the C B R (Community based Rehabilitation ) of three days weekly for the training

5. The repetition of operating the pottery workshop and the work of products from the clays with Japanese expert from the organization of the Japanese aid  , JICA

6. April 8, 2005 , Participating the grand festival of  M.L.S.(Misr Languages School ) in Giza attending the live singing of the famous Lebanese singer Assy Al Halany  , sharing the event with more than 3000 disabled people from all over Egypt.

7. In May 28, 2005, an out day activity in villa Batty at King Mariout suburb, enjoying the swimming pool and the wonderful yummy lunch and all the children enjoyed fun.

8. The continuation of the projects for the agriculture, colored pepper which was "the project of the initiatives of the social protection " and the entrance of the organic plants and fruit trees . We planted fruit trees also such as apricots, apples, pineapples, and peaches.

9. A donation for micro bus of 16 passengers Toyota brand , free zone from Mrs. / Samira Gibran Asaad and a reception took place for it during the party of the annual Iftar Ramadan in October 2005 and with the attendance of the Ministry of Social Affairs deputy and Rehabilitation  Manager and the societies administration.

10. The nomination of the society board director took place / Mrs. Nada Alfy Thabet within 1000 peace women around the world for granting the Nobel Peace Prize from the Swiss peace organization to year 2005 .

11. The New Year Festival at end of year 2005 in Pastrouds hall - behind the international garden - the establishment of arts shows and Kids Fun Team art and the magician and hosting big number from special needs in the societies and many centers .

12. In a precedent that considers an unique from its kind, the planning for the establishment of the project of merging the old age (senior citizens)  55 - 65 with our children  with special needs. This grant of the distinction by the Egyptian NGO support center  and financing take place from Orascom construction Industries and starts in the execution at the beginning of year 2006 for a pilot study (Jan 2006 – June 2006)

13. The establishment of a summer camp in cooperation with Al – Juseutte  students ( summer 2005 ) " an internal residence in the village " for a week .

14. Holding a training course and workshops for raising the staff efficiency in the society with several societies in Cairo.

15. The reception of many of the visits in the society for example " the visit of the charitable Islamic institute society in Damietta and the visit of the Faculty of Nursing and some societies and other schools .

16. Building three new classes to accept new children starting Sept 2006.
 
17. Sports competitions took place between the team of Hope Village and the team of Al Sarhna  primary school and the participation in the special Olympics  which took place at Victoria College ,Alexandria

18. Establishing the 1st Union in Alexandria Governorate consists of 10 major associations and 30 school and center working in the field of mentally retarded children for caring, training, and rehabilitation. The main objective is society awareness. Mrs. Nada Thabet, is the vice President of this union.

19.  Village of Hope is participating as a member of the Islamic , Christian conversation forum in Alexandria.

20. In June 16, 2005  -   A training course for planting mushroom held in the village by an expert from the agriculture ministry as an project we can do it in our productive activities .

21. In Sept 8, 2005 - A visit from CEOSS (Coptic Evangelical Organization for social services to follow our projects.

22.  In Oct 19, 2005 – Iftar  Ramadan  Annual Day of village of hope with all the society leaders and more than 300 guests from all over Alexandria.

23.  In Nov 20, 2005 - Farewell party for the Japanese volunteer Mr Stoushi Saito after 2 years working in the village of hope .

24. Establishing 10 tricycles and distribute them in Alexandria in different areas to teach the mentally challenged themselves how to sell their products (bakery products) favor them to feel dignity and self esteem.

Celebrating the New Year 2006 Pastroudis hall with 900 disabled people cooperating with Seti center for mentally disabled studies and Caritas association enjoying the KIDS FUN TEAM songs and participating the marathon for the disabled children.

Participating   BTM company ( Mr. Louis Beshara) annual bazaar with the handicrafts which made in the village of hope.

Work shop in Dar Ahmous Khalifa including handicrafts , painting, printing and clay sharing between the disabled and the elderly people followed by a discussions and lunch after that in the presence of Prof  Ahmad Khater, Dean of Social Services Institute,  and under his supervision as well.

Honoring Mrs. Nada Thabet in Alexandria bibliotheca as one of the social work leader in the city of Alexandria, and giving her the prize of the name of Dr Adel Abou Zahra

Participating in the Special  Olympic Games in Victoria Collage , for the disabled people and gaining 2 golden medals in swimming and 5 silver medals in soccer,

A visit from Dar Ahmous Khalifa for the village of Hope in Bourg Al Arab and participating in some creation activities  such as planting , panting, printing and games between the elderly and disabled people through the work shop of the inclusion activities and in the presence of prof Ahmad Khater and his assistance team , followed by yummy lunch made in the village .

Visiting  the Islamic center in Sananiah , Dammitta City – a new center for day care center for mentally retarded children.. Also giving training to parents and staff how to deal with their sons and daughters..

Starting digging a well , and on depth 32 meters, we got pure water and we aim to have better vegetables and less cost due to high prices of tap water.

The last conference held in the Marine Force hall in Alexandria for the elderly and disabled inclusion project, a musical performance was presented from both sides, the elderly and our children.. in a wonderful operetta called Innocence and Tenderness

Development Program  in the Strategic Plan and Capacity building.
 
And the achievements are still continuous - and the grant river was still flowing as long as there are people promising, the exertion of effort and money for the sake of pleasing category dear on all our hearts category with the special needs .
