AVSI is leading an informal Network made of 27 associations and NGOs,17 of which from developing and transition countries.
In 2000 AVSI opened new offices in New York, the U.S.A.

MISSION
To support human development in developing countries according to the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church, with special attention to education and promotion of the global dignity of every person. This means to help people living in dramatic situations worldwide, taking into account the unique character of the person, and considering education as an essential tool to enhance personal talents.
This is the only way to consolidate a development model fostering the growth of people and, with them, peace.
